A few weeks ago Bill ran in a 10K across the Ben Franklin Bridge, into Philadelphia and back across to New Jersey. He signed up with a friend of ours and had been training for months. I was excited for him the day of the run and I charged the battery in my camera so I could take lots of photos. On our way to the run, I realized that I’d forgotten to put the battery back in the camera. Needless to say, I was pretty bummed that I wouldn’t have any photos. I don’t have a photo of it, but I watched him come across the finish line in time under what his goal was and it was truly a proud moment for me. Thankfully, our friends had their cameras and were gracious enough to share the photos with me this weekend. I’m a happy girl.
